What is Danny Ainge's Deal?

Score: 229
February 25, 2011 9:01 pm

Danny Ainge is the current general manager but, maybe not for long with what he has done to the Boston Celtics lineup up getting rid of some of their pieces. Their key pieces would include Nate Robinison, Kendrick Perkins, Luke Harangody, Semih Erden, and Marquis Daniels. Semih Erden and Luke Harangody will take their individual talents to the Cleveland Cavaliers who just lost one of their best players in Mo Williams who went to the Los Angeles Clippers to join Blake Griffin's squad out in California. Kendrick Perkins and Nate Robinison will be playing for the Oklahoma City Thunder which will hopefully work out for them because they have Kevin Durant and a great point guard in Russell Westbrook. The Celtics got Jeff Green and Nenard Kristic out of that trade with the Oklahoma City Thunder. They got a 2013 second round draft pick from the Cleveland Cavaliers and from Scaramento they got cash as well as a future draft pick. Did the Celtics get the better end of the deal? Or did the Thunder, Sacramento, or even the Cavaliers who have set the record for most games lost in a row! I think the Cavaliers got an okay deal but they lost a huge piece of their team so they might fall apart now. The Kings only got one player and that was Marquis Daniels and they could have given up a good draft pick to a great team already in the Boston Celtics so the Boston could another good young player and thier team will just keep getting better. The Thunder got some really good players in Kendrick Perkins and Nate Robinsion and they only had to give up Jeff Green and Nenard Kristic so i think the Oklahoma City Thunder got the best part of these for teams that were involved in the Celtics trade. In my opinion the Sacramento Kings got the worst part of all of the trades because they only got Marquis Daniels and they could have given up a pick that would be in the 1st round and around the 7th or 8th pick so I think that was a huge mistake on thier part. The team that got the second worst deal out of this is in my opinion is the Cleveland Cavaliers because they got two young rookies that need more experience with some of the NBA superstars and that's who they were playing with when they were with the Boston Celtics. The third worst deal out of all of this goes to the Boston Celtics and like i stated early in the writing they lost key pieces and they lost 1 third of thier lineup and got two guys back terrible deal in my mind. Now, the team that got the best deal out of all this is the Oklahoma City Thunder now their team should do even better with Kevin Durant, Russell Westbrook, Nate Robinsion, and Kendrick Perkins I'm hoping this trade works out for the Boston Celtics. One final question do you think that Rasheed Wallace is coming back to Boston due to the loss of Kendrick Perkins and Semih Erden which was two of their centers.

Melo and Billups join the Knicks

Score: 176

New York Knicks get Carmelo Anthony, Chauncey Billups, Renaldo Balkman, Anthony Carter, and Sheldon Williams just from the Denver alone then they got Corey Brewer from the Minnesota Timberwolves. The Denver Nuggets get Raymond Felton, Wilson Cahndler, Danilo Gallinari,Timofey Mozgov,a 2014 first round pick and two second round picks in the year of 2012 and 2013 and cash. The Knicks also gave the Minnesota Timberwolves center Eddy Curry and forward Anthony Randolph. The Timberwolves would also give up Kosta Koufos.

Melo joins the Atlantic division with Knicks.

Score: 213

The Knicks get Carmelo Anthony, Chauncey Billups, Sheldon Williams, Antohony Carter, and Renaldo Balkman from the Nuggets, was it a good deal?  Although they got two all stars in Melo and Billups, they had to get rid of Danilo Gallinari, Raymond Felton, Wilson Chandler, Timofey Mozgov, 2014 first round pick, two 2014 second round picks, and $3 Million.  They now have a Big three group of players but they had to get rid of most of the players that make their team.  I think that this will strengthen the Knicks and weaken the Nuggets for now, but will it last?  I also think that this deal will greatly effect the All-Star games because of the fact that it took two good players from the West and no good players from the East.  This will take away all-star oppurtunities from the East and add some to the West.  Now it's your turn to decide whether this was a good deal and which team will get the best out of it if it works out for either team.  One last question, will this affect the the Celtics by shaking up the Atlantic Division?

Patriots thus far...

Score: 85
October 31, 2010 7:54 pm

I don't know about you, but I like what I've been seeing with the Pats so far.  True, the games aren't blowouts, but this season has been rather unpredictable.  The Cowboys are 1-6, Favre looks like a donkey out there, and the Raiders have been scoring like crazy.  Therefore, a Patriots' 6-1 record suits me just fine.  Brady's spreading the ball well, and the defense is making big plays, even though they're giving up a lot of yards.  Now that they're top in the division, I'm smiling and pacing for next week.  GO PATS!
